Each morning, our son would run out to see the water and to "catch fish." The management company was friendly and helpful.This Waipahu Public Storage is located on Ka Uka Boulevard between Veterans Memorial Freeway and Kamehameha Highway. We loved being on the ground floor with ocean views and the ability to walk right out and play in the sand or dip in the pool to cool down. In addition, there is coin laundry on-site, so we packed only the minimum and did laundry during the trip. The unit itself was very spacious with comfortable beds -including the sofa sleeper! It was great to have beach chairs, boogie boards, and some snorkel gear so we didn't have to rent it. We would recomment Nalu's, and Peace, Love, Shave Ice, as well as the Maui Brewing Company (which is now open with a restaurant). And, the beach was great for boogie boarding, floating and there were tons of sea turtles everywhere!! The location of the complex was literally next to a supermarket, making it easy to cook, with coffee shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. This condo complex was fantastic for our needs (Family with 4 adults and 2 kids)! It was quiet with a beach that was essentially private and we loved not being further South with huge groups of tourists. Waiohuli Beach Hale is a Maui property where guests return year after year. Whale watch, windsurf, walk the beach and enjoy magnificent sunsets from your lanai. This complex is one of the great finds in Kihei Maui for its affordability and charm. In addition there is a 60 foot solar heated pool, barbecues and shuffleboard located right next to the ocean.
